Hoover Teams Up with Cleaning for a Reason

During my trip to Chicago, on behalf of Hoover, I had the amazing opportunity to listen to Debbie Sardone speak about her national organization Cleaning for a Reason.

Basically, Cleaning for a Reason helps women who are battling with cancer have a clean home. The organization teams up with Cleaning and Maid services all over the U.S. and parts of Canada to provide free house cleaning services to ailing women undergoing cancer treatment. Cancer patients apply for free service online, although currently demand is so high that applications are only accepted during a small window of time each day. Cleaning For A Reason connects applicants with local service partners to provide the free cleaning service, typically once a month for four months.

Allowing the women to have one thing less to think about during their struggle, Cleaning for a Reason is a smart, empathetic idea that Hoover is now helping support!

Hoover will provide funding and equipment to facilitate local service partners, and will help the organization raise additional funding through special marketing campaigns to drive awareness and individual donations.
"We are an iconic brand with a wide reach and we are putting that power to work to help women when they need it the most," said Brian Kirkendall, vice president of marketing for Hoover. "Having a clean home is one small way to help families, and we want to help. We are proud to partner with Cleaning For A Reason."
I respect Hoover's decision to work with Cleaning for a Reason and I'm happy to have been able to hear about the organization and share with my readers. If you own a cleaning company, or utilize one, or know someone battling cancer who'd benefit from this service, please visit http://www.cleaningforareason.org/ and see if your local companies are represented. If not, mention to them how they can sign up for this amazing cause! Thanks!

Hoover sponsored my trip to Chicago. This organization was at the event I attended and I am pleased to share this with my readers.

This is amazing and so very needed. Thanks for the info. I wish there were more things out there for individuals struggling, that could use a little help. Going to apply for my sister with Leukemia.
