Launched in spring 2009, Webkinz Jr offers oversize huggable plush pets (6 different adorable animals) with a secret code to enter an exciting interactive world. Designed for kids 3 to 6 years old, the site requires no reading but instead uses audio and friendly characters to encourage pre-schoolers as they explore, learn and play. The Parent’s Area lets adults monitor their child’s progress. When you purchase your Webkinz Jr. plush, it comes with a unique access code for the WebkinzJr.com site and allows you to play free.

Our take: My older children (ages 8 and 11) use the regular Webkinz site and it's definitely geared toward the older kids. My almost 4 year old has tried unsuccessfully to maneuver around that site and it's difficult and she needs help. The WebkinzJr site is amazing. She is confident, and can work on the site all alone and with her own toy and codes that gives her a sense of ownership on the game. Often even sites like Playhouse Disney that are geared for little ones need more adult supervision, I'm truly impressed with WebkinzJr.com! The animals are significantly larger than the regular Webkinz and are made with the softest material that is pleasant for young ones.

I just watched the tour video & now my four yr old is going, I want that! She could actually play on this website with no problem! I love that their "Help" section is very well organized & easy to access.

What I like most about Webkinz Jr. is that children can learn responsibility. I think this website would be a great way for a child to practice prior to getting a real pet. However, I think the ages for this sight should be more like 5-8. My 10 year old daughter has 11 of the regular Webkinz, and has been playing for about two years. Heck even I play the games! (BLUSH)

the BEST thing i like about the site is that it gives the retailers names that CARRY Webkinz. We have run all over town looking for certain ones of these for gifts and THIS is great...no more searching in phone books for possible retailer. OH...and I like the colorful site for kids! thanks!

I love how easy it is for younger kids. My 4 yr. old tries to play her older brother's Webkinz and she needs assistance. This can easily be done by her with no trouble. I really like this.
This would make a nice birthday present.
