This holiday season, the ultimate brain-buster for puzzle lovers of all ages is Puzzler World. Offering up more than 200 hours of exclusive gameplay developed specifically for the DS by Ideas Pad, the masterminds behind the Puzzler brand, the title features an incredible collection of games. You can find such popular formats as Word Search, Sudoku, Crossword, Fitwork, Link-A-Pix, Codeword, Spot the Difference and Silhouette, as well as bonus games including Hangman and all-new puzzle formats Equate and Jigsaw.
With an extensive array of classic games and all-new puzzle formats, Puzzler World will challenge users with endless entertainment and different degrees of difficulty. Players will be able to choose from two distinct game modes, Quickplay or Challenge, making it accessible for beginners and tough enough for even the most advanced puzzle gurus. Problem solvers who dominate Challenge mode will find that there are plenty of bonus games to further meet their brain-busting thirst; these include all-new gaming formats such as Equate and Jigsaw, as well as additional classic favorites like Hangman, Missing Piece and Chain Letters.
Our Take: My husband gets the daily newspaper for 2 reasons. To catch up on the sports page, and to do the daily crossword puzzle. Me, I like a good Sudoku challenge. Having 2 kids with the Nintendo DS, we can often take our turn as adults with the new Puzzler World, and let me tell you, it's great fun! I have so far only played the Quickplay version, but am trying to beat my own times, as the crossword game and others are timed! My husband and I love the brain challenge that this game gives and its a nice change from all the Mario and Batman games the kids are better than us at! The kids have played around a bit with Puzzler World and can maneuver around the Spot the Difference quite well. No games have been the same which we like, no one likes to play the same game over and over (as we've found on other games like The Price is Right)!!
Puzzler World is available for a suggested retail price of $19.99. In addition to the DS release, Puzzler World will also be available for download at Atari.com.
