High Fiber Progresso Soup

I think you will be excited to hear that in addition to the 75 great flavors of Progresso Soup, there are four new, great tasting Progresso soups that have 28% of your daily fiber intake per serving (7 grams) and have no added MSG or artificial flavors. I've been speaking of fiber alot lately, but for good reason, it's popping up as an added bonus to many foods now. The need for it spans all ages, talk to any doctor, it's essential part of your nutrition daily!

Our Take: The new varieties include Chicken Tuscany, Creamy Tomato Basil, Hearty Vegetable and Noodles and Homestyle Minestrone. Now, I'm not a huge soup fan. But eating out at The Olive Garden, I admit their Minestrone is the best i've ever had! Progresso sent me some of their new Homestyle Minestrone and it is good! It tastes homemade and you rarely get that from a canned soup! It has a nice variety of veggies, the broth is tasty (and I usually like to add lots of peeper), but the kids will not eat it. Too many "green things." More for my husband and I!

    changed a diet a bit and sneaking in when we can.. I switched to Whole wheat pancake mixes and sprinkle our yogurt with Wheat Germ

    I slowly weaned the kids off the sugar ceral and have switched to Raisin Bran, the love it now.

    My favorite way to include fiber into my diet is via salads. I've always been a fan of salads, but it wasn't until recently that I switched from using iceberg lettuce to using leaf lettuces. This came about when my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer a few years ago (she has since conquered it). I learned that iceberg lettuce doesn't process easily and is actually bad for your colon.

    I have Celiac disease, so high fiber grains are usually out. I tend to eat a lot of veggies and add a fiber supplement to make up for it.
