*contest closed* Treasure Hunt: Book of Clues for Parties *giveaway!*

Monday, June 15, 2009 Posted by The Mom Jen

“Treasure Hunt, A Book of Clues for Parties,” by Nancy Kruse isn’t your grandmother’s “how to entertain” manual. In her unique party-planning how-to book, she details how to have the most fun when you’re planning a gift-giving party for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Wedding or Baby Showers, even Christmas parties.

If you’ve ever been on a treasure hunt, you know how much fun and satisfaction you get when you find all the clues – and finally, the treasure. “Treasure Hunt” has all the information you’ll need to plan the perfect hunt, with gifts as the treasure.

About the author: Nancy Kruse has traveled extensively and has lived in 8 states with her husband, an underground construction inspector, and her four daughters. She enjoys reading, writing, poetry, and new creative projects. She currently lives in rural Georgia. Visit http://www.treasurehuntcluesbook.com/.

Title: Treasure Hunt - A Book of Clues for Parties!
Author: Nancy Kruse
Genre: Nonfiction/Entertaining
ISBN: 978-1601455659
Publication Date: July 2008
Pages: 116
Price: $12.95
Publisher: BookLocker.com, Inc.

Our take: What a fun, exciting way to throw a party! Scavenger hunts are a hit for everyone young and old! This would be a great book when you are planning a party at home. It gives you great clues for every room in the house, with one of my faves reading, "The next clue isn't hard to find, don't give us any flack. When we say the clue you're looking for is taped to your own back!" I'm eager to do something like this for my daughter's 11th birthday this year with our family gift, I think she'll be tickled pink! The very last chapter includes Christmas Clues, and what a great twist on party giving fun!

I have a copy of the book Treasure Hunt for one lucky reader of Therapeutic!!

I would have to say I loved helping to put together my nephew's birthday party. We went a little overboard with games and activities and kids were running around everywhere. The parents couldn't even keep up with them. LOL..

    Thanks.

Easy, peasy...my son's 5th Birthday. It was an all-around Dino-Bash! Dino favors, dino decorations, a landscaped dino cake complete with archeologic dig ;) To top it off, all of the little kiddos got to go on a massive expedition and dig for dino bones!

I just threw a big Mother's Day Tea party for my mom and MIL. We hung tissue paper pom poms from the ceiling, ate little tea sandwiches, and did crafts with my daughter. It was so much fun, albeit a ton of work. My daughter is just getting into the whole party thing and I'm finding out it's so much fun to throw kids's parties!

The best party I've ever thrown was for my brothers birthday one year. Since his birthday is in October, I held a "Haolloween Bash" party. We had loads of games to play, all kinds of food and snacks, a DJ for the dance that I had and decorations galore. It was enjoyed by everyone.

I guess it would have to be my daughters sweet 16, She is autistic and has the mentality of about a 2-3 year old and I had never been so proud of her accomplishments. I have two other children and am proud of them as well but the most emotional was seeing my daughter all dressed up....her hair done and being able to walk in backless heels for the first time. She was absolutely breathtaking She'll be 21 this july

The best party I have ever thrown was for my daughter 2 years ago at Halloween. Her bday is in October so we had a "Halloween" birthday party. Everybody, adults included, dressed up. My husband snuck out and dressed as the grim reaper! He came back and just started walking around silently and had everybody who didn't know who it was scared and screaming and at one point there were several people running from him! We had so much fun!!! We had eyeball cupcakes, worm cupcakes, witches brew punch which actually glowed!!!
