Hamilton Beach Thermal Cooler Blender

Wednesday, June 17, 2009 Posted by The Mom Jen

Summer's here and so are trips to the beach, picnics to the park, and pool parties! What a better way to make your favorite summer drink and keep it cold AND portable with the Hamilton Beach Thermal Cooler Blender.

Just blend cold drinks right in the cooler, lift it off the base, and bring it along to the beach, park, pool, sporting events, or even your own backyard. The contents will stay ice-cold for up to eight hours, and its easy-pour spout makes serving drinks simple. Now that’s Good Thinking.™

For additional versatility, Thermal Cooler Plus Blenders also include a blender jar for traditional blending at home. Whether you’re a portable drink aficionado or someone who prefers the option of traditional blending as well, Hamilton Beach® has the Good Thinking™ that offers you both.

Now your drinks can stay colder longer! Did you know that 54% of blender owners have transferred blender ingredients into a second container prior to refrigeration? Did you know that a third of blender owners have put the entire glass blender container in the fridge? The Hamilton Beach Thermal Cooler Blender is the new summer solution!

Now you have 2 ways to blend - blend in the cooler for portable ice-cold drinks or use the plastic jar for drinks at home.

• Cooler keeps icy drinks cold up to 8 hours
• Includes 48 oz thermal cooler, glass jar & base
• 40 oz glass jar with Wave-Action® system
• 550 Watts peak power & 10 speeds
Easy-pour spout
• Comfortable handle
Double-wall thermal cooler
• 3 year limited warranty

Our Take:This blender is a great piece of kitchen machinery! We haven't had a blender in years, can't even tell you what happened to our old one. But immediately, my husband thought, "let's make some margaritas." Putting that on hold for a moment, we tried a quick and easy milkshake, what a treat! There's even a "milkshake" speed. It only needed to be tapped a few times and we had a delicious creamy dessert! If we weren't all so anxious to try the shakes, we could have made them in the thermal cooler and toted them along to our next event. That test will come this weekend!

Oreo Shake
(serves 4)
  • 8 scoop(s) vanilla ice cream
  • 6 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cup(s) milk
Crush the cookies in a baggie, add them to the milk and ice cream mixture, blend just to soften the ice cream, ouila!

Hamilton Beach wants to giveaway a Single Serve Blender (2 jars, 2 lids) to a lucky Therapeutic Reviews & Giveaways reader!! ($19.99 value!)

• 2 blender jars and 2 lids included
• Travel lid lets you drink from the jar
• Jar fits in most car drink holders
• Great for fruit smoothies, icy drinks, shakes & more
• Stainless steel blades
• One-touch blending
• Easy to store and clean

Thanks so much to Hamilton Beach for the opportunity!

    Orange Frost
    1 1/2 cups orange sherbet
1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate, undiluted
    4 ice cubes
    1 cup ice water
3 (12 oz) cans lemon lime soft drink

In blender, combine all ingredients except soft drink and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses. Pour soft drink into sides of glasses and stir gently.

This makes about 8 drinks, so if winner wants to make this in their new blender, they'll have to reduce ingredient amounts.

    Frozen Coffee Drink

Fill blender jar with loosely packed vanilla or coffee ice cream.

Pour chilled coffee up to level of top of ice cream.

Add a few ice cubes and a dash of vanilla extract.

Blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

Warning: it's probably not a good idea to give this to kids...for them, substitute milk for the coffee.
