Kristen's Custom Creations--You Design the Necklace Contest/Giveaway

Mother's Day is just around the corner! How about letting that special mom in your life know you love her with a custom necklace you helped create?
What: Kristen from Kristen's Custom Creations, in conjunction with The Mom Jen, have come up with a fun giveaway that includes one winner who's winning phrase and/or graphic stamp art idea will be displayed on their necklace-prize!
Kristen's work is phenomenal!! I have a few pieces of her hand-stamped jewelry and I've purchased many other quality designs from her for gifts. You know when you buy her jewelry you're getting beautiful craftsmanship!
Who: All US bloggers may enter.
How to Enter: Think about a special necklace, much like all of items in Kristen's store, and design one for Mother's Day that you would purchase for yourself or someone in your life. What would it say? Would you add a name charm? Picture charm? Special crystal? This is your main entry in the contest, a must.
So, leave your design idea in the comments, copy it and leave it at Kristen's post *click here as well. Only the first entry needs to be posted in two places. All bonus entries must be placed in the comments here.
When: The contest starts today, April 14, 2009, and the winner will be selected on April 28, 2009.
Winner will be selected by a panel of blogger-judges based on creativity and uniqueness. Final decision will be made by Kristen. The winning design will be made and will be your prize!

Ok so my design would be for me. And I would have my favorite love saying "All Because Two People Fell In Love" and that would be Handstamped. Then I would add 2 charms; they would be the birthstone jewels for both of my children.

My mother passed away 3 yrs ago at the age of 57. I miss her terribly! I would want to honor her memory and also honor me being a mom. I would design a necklace with "Mom" on the back and her birth date. "Blessed Mom" on the front and two tags with my children's names on them. I would also want their birthstones and my own Mother's birthstone hanging. Every time I would wear the necklace I would remember how blessed I was to have a special mom, how blessed my kids were to have their "Nonnie" and how blessed I am to be their mom.

My daughter left home a few months ago in rebellion. She barely speaks to us. We are lost and don't know what to say or do.
If I won, I would make a necklace for her. It would have her birthstone and would say...to the moon and back.
When she was little, we would "fight" over who loved who more...she would say..I love you to the moon and back.

I've been a big fan of Kristen's designs for a long time! I think I'd like to design one that had my 3 boys' initials on a disk...maybe with a charm or "mom" rectangle. Great contest! Happy Mother's Day (early). :)

Oh what a fun contest!!! I love being a mom and the beach and the starfish story...where the little boy is walking on the beach and there are thousands of starfish and he is picking them up one by one and throwing them back in the water. His friend says, "there are thousands out here, why are you even bothering to throw them back in the water?" He replies, "because it matters to that one". LOVE that story!!! So my necklace would be a round tag that has "You matter to me" stamped around the edge, a small starfish charm on top of it and then two rectangle charms with my kids' names on them. That would be an amazing necklace and I would wear it all of the time!!!

In my head, it makes total sense and I hope you understand my rambling… I would have a theme of Mothers through Generations….
My family is Dutch so “Grandma” is “Oma” to us.
My 1 yo dd has the blessed honour of having two Omas, being my mom and my Oma, her great-Oma who is 95 years young… Originally, I would keep the bracelet but once my dd is old enough to appreciate it or has her own daughter, I would pass it on to her.
So, my bracelet design would incorporate four generations of women, mothers in our family (if my dd becomes a mother when she is MUCH older obviously)…
I was thinking maybe one charm per generation - our names and birthdates on each charm perhaps the layered charm .

I'd love to make a necklace that said "wish" on it with a dandelion charm. I used to love making wishes before blowing dandelions as a kid--brings back a lot of fond childhood memories and reminds me of the innocnece of being a child (especially now that I am mom)

I would use a silver snake chain, a silver round disc and have the name of your child on stamped on and in smaller stamps the date he/she was born and weight and have either a pink or blue gem or pearl hanging from it or a little rattle, bottle or baby foot.
This would be great for a new mom or grandma.

I would have a round, silver disked stamped with "Est. 3-12-88" (this is my parents' anniversary)...and then have 2 rectangular, silver tags on each side of this round tag that have my name & my sister name on them. :)

My suggestion would be a beachcomber bracelet where people could purchase separate beach related items or shells to put on this collectable bracelet like a sanddollar, starfish, clam shell etc. as one would collect shells on a beach walk to remember summer fun beach vacations. I would design one that would say "Evelyn" for my grandmother who passed a couple years ago, and add her birthstone, the Peridot and have this as a necklace. As much as I would want it for myself I would give this to my mother for Mother's Day. =)

I would give it to my 14-year old niece who is graduating from Junior High soon. it would have her name on the main disk, with her birthstone (December) and two smaller disks on either side that would say "Peace" and "Love."
