Scensibles (Giveaway)

*contest closed!*

Now there's a clean, easy, discreet way to deal with disposing of your used personal hygiene products.

Founder, Ann Germanow created Scensibles, and it makes so much sense!
Disposing of feminine care items. It’s not a subject that was likely to come up with my girlfriends on the phone or over a cup of coffee. That is until now. Now I can’t stop talking about it. “The problem” began to really bother me a few years ago. I started to notice signs in public restrooms: “Do not flush tampons and other feminine care items because they cause clogs.” What was the alternative? Discarding products in a visibly dirty bin, overflowing with smelly, unsightly, unwrapped items? This was unacceptable to me. Why should women have to put up with these hideous conditions? And it’s a legitimate health concern. I knew there must be a better way.

My husband John and I, put considerable time and effort in coming up with the design and features of Scensibles; a unique product that addresses “the problem” head on. It’s the kind of product people say “that makes so much sense!” We believe you will too! Put Scensibles in your women’s facilities and you will do more than create attractive, user friendly restrooms. You’ll also contribute to a more hygienic public surrounding and help prevent plastic applicators from floating in our rivers, lakes and oceans and save on expensive plumbing repairs as well!

SCENSIBLES, a specially designed, single-use bag created specifically for the hygienic disposal of feminine care items. The personal size bag is also an alternative to flushing tampons down the toilet (which can lead to a major plumbing problem).

SCENSIBLES bags are designed with a contemporary pink-on-pink floral pattern, delicate scent and easy tie closure. Not only are they attractive on the outside, but antimicrobial agents built into the bag inhibit the growth of odor causing bacteria. The plastic bags are manufactured with an additive to enable them to biodegrade in landfills.

SCENSIBLES, dispensed from refillable units are now in use in women's restrooms in public and commercial buildings and institutions across the country. To respond to the demand from women requesting SCENSIBLES for home use, the Company has recently introduced decorative consumer packaging. The stylish compact size box fits in a bathroom drawer, on the back of the toilet, or wherever feminine care products are stored at home.

My Personal Opinion
Scensibles are also included in the DotGirl First Period Kits where I was first introduced to them. When teaching a young girl like my 10 year old about her impending first period, having Scensibles is going to be a big part of process. Using tampons and pads is one thing, but then taking care of business afterwards, and at school on occasion, is going to be important. The little box is perfect for purse or backpack.

When I used Scensibles, I felt sure that my unmentionables were being disposed of in the best way possible. The floral scent of the baggie would cancel out any odors, and I was not ashamed to leave the bag in the garbage can of a friend's home.

Scensibles are sold online at Amazon, DotGirl, and Period Products for about $3.50-$4.00 per 50-pack box.

Win one of three packs I have to giveaway, thank you Scensibles!!

When you featured your dotgirl first period kit, I saw this and thought it would be great for anyone. It's especially helpful when at school or a friend's house to leave in the trash can without having to face the embarrassment of everyone knowing what's going on.

I love that it would hide it. I hate going to someone elses house and just throwing it away in the trash. It looks bad. This would make it nicer and less embarrasing!

I agree with everyone else that it makes it easier to throw pads & tampons away while visiting people. It would also be nicer if there is no trash can (ive encountered this) and you need to put it in your purse to dispose of later.

I love the concept of this! Me personally, get embarrassed having to dispose of them in a public restroom and being able to "hide" them makes it much easier.
